As Scala Days Berlin 2020 crew you help us approx. 12 hours right before and during the conference with practical things - packing delegates bags (before the conference), guarding the registration, sessions and similar (during the conference) - and in return you get to attend the sessions and social events for free (when you're not on duty). However, Scala Days Berlin 2020 does not cover travel and accommodation costs or visa fees.
